Serge Côté - Composer.

Welcome to Music Sergery. My name is Serge Côté, an award winning composer for film and television. For the past two decades, I created music for over 1000 episodes of TV series in many genres and styles (children’s programming, drama, comedy and everything in between), and always delivered on time.

Early on, as a songwriter and arranger, I began working with many world-class artists, such as Alanis Morrissette, One to One, Jewel, Dan Hill, Harland Williams and Tom Green. Being classically trained from a young age, and having an ear for commercial pop music gave me an advantage in my transition to scoring to picture. So I began composing for television series, animated series, films and national television commercials, at my recording studio, Music Sergery. Recently, my focus has been creating original scores and songs for many children’s animated projects, released globally.

So far, I was awarded 14 nominations from the Academy of Canadian Film and Television, including Canadian Screen Awards, Gemini Awards and Prix Gémeaux. In 2010, I won a Gemini Award for my score for the children travel series “A World of Wonders”. I also won many industry awards for his original compositions for national and international TV advertisements.

I am fluent in English, French and have a working knowledge of Spanish.
